Landscapes of the mind

The collection of landscapes I have created is deeply rooted in my life and draws inspiration from my travels and memories. Each landscape is a reflection of how they have remained in my mind, a nostalgic journey back to my childhood. The colours I have chosen are a tribute to the 80s and 90s, periods that defined my childhood. The colours of my teddy bear, the pyjamas with Snoopy that brought me so much happiness, and the shades of my birthday dress play a central role in this collection. These vibrant, warm colours evoke memories of carefree days.
My mother's coat and the interiors of the houses I grew up in also contributed to this colour palette. They give a sense of home, safety and security, making the landscapes not only visually appealing, but also emotionally resonant.
With these landscapes I want to create a world that offers warmth and comfort, a refuge from the sometimes harsh and raw reality. It is a world where you can immerse yourself in nostalgia, a reliving of a child’s carefree worldview. These landscapes act as soft, comfortable blankets that provide a sense of safety and love, they invite a nostalgic escape, a place where worries and pain make way for a renewed sense of childlike wonder. It is this world that I hope to convey, a world that offers warmth and comfort, and where you can lose yourself in the beauty of memories.
